This Sounds Better On Paper

I could write all my feelings out

And not post it for my friends to see

And not have such a fickle heart

And love fearlessly.

What I would do to love fearlessly!

To love fearlessly with no pain and

No suffering.

I could breathe in the scent and fill my lungs with the one I call mine

With no worry

With no issue of trust.

I could fill my stomach with butterflies that do somersaults when they hear

“I love you”.

I could be the one saying

“I love you, no take backs”.

I could do this, that, and another.

I could love with no bounds.

I could.

And I will.
